PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® Certification Preparation Program

 

Summary

The use of Agile as an approach to managing projects is growing rapidly all over the world. The PMI-ACP® (Agile Certified Practitioner) certification recognizes knowledge of agile principles, practices and tools and techniques across agile methodologies.

This course covers the PMI-ACP® Examination Content Outline, on which the PMI-ACP® certification exam is based. It provides an essential knowledge of Agile along with a detailed coverage of the examination content.

 

Learning Objectives

  • Learn about the requirements and process for PMI ACP® certification
  • Learn the 7 Domain areas that constitute the PMI ACP Examination Content Outline
  • Understand the Agile Manifesto and Principles
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of scrum – the most commonly used Agile framework
  • Understand the basics of other major agile frameworks – XP, Lean and KANBAN
  • Learn popular Agile techniques for estimation, planning, requirements definition, etc.
  • Understand project management in the Agile context
 

Pre-Requisites:

Course Participation Pre-Requisites:

There are no prerequisites to attend the training.

Certification Exam Pre-Requisites:

A candidate must attain:

Secondary Degree (High School Diploma, Associate’s Degree or global equivalent)

+

2,000 hours (approx 12 months) of General Project Experience
o    Experience must be earned within the last 5 years.

+

1,500 hours (approx 8 months) of Agile Project Experience
(These hours are in addition to the 2000 hours required in “general project experience”)
o    Experience must be earned within the last 3 years

+

21 contact hours of training in Agile Practices

 

Who should attend?

Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers/QA, PMO Leaders, and other agile practitioners interested in acquiring the PMI-ACP certification.

 

Training and Exam Duration

Training: 3 days.
The course material shall be issued on the first day of the course during registration.

Exam: 3 hours duration
The exam may be scheduled at a Prometric testing centre close to your location (www.prometric.com).

 

Exam Pattern

The PMI-ACP exam consists of 120 (100 scored and 20 unscored questions) multiple choice questions. The exam is closed-book, i.e. no materials are allowed to be used.
